Long ago, these weathered, sun-bleached monoliths served as a fierce sanctuary for Viriatus, shielding his warriors in a labyrinth of stone as they defied the might of Rome.
Centuries dissolved, and the Knights Templar arrived, looking upon the colossal boulders not just as rock, but as an armor forged by time itself. They wove their castle walls directly into the mountain's rugged spine, marrying human ambition to the eternal bedrock. Today, the great inselberg remains a poetic tapestry of stone and shadow, whispering old legends of knights, rebels, and the enduring spirit of the wild landscape.
